Istanbul was amazing, I just loved how everything juxtaposed one another. The mosques were beautiful, and the trams were novelty (and also mint green inside!), and it was gorgeous how a place that should feel dusty and heavy, was clear and fresh thanks to the Bosphorus.
The most gorgeous Mosque; the Ayasofya Camii (in my opinion, even more stunning than the Blue Mosque) -
The funniest little shop (and the biggest surprise!):
Every day for breakfast, I bought an orange from the orange and pomegranate juice stalls. They were divine. It was a very orange-themed trip. ha ha
Misli was right, the Kumpir's were pretty damn good -
I loved the tea too...with too much sugar as usual. I tried the Raki again - how it bites back! And indulged on all the Turkish food. The meat was far too rich for me, but a must-try!
I loved the goats milk icecream, I was determined to source in Istikal Caddesi.
A few great sights from the high street, ha ha:
Oh and...

he he he!
We went to the Grand Bazaar:
Absolutely bizzare...?! "Buy one get me free", "Spice Girls", and "You left something behind...you left my heart behind". Criiinge! he he
We went to the Basilica Cistern, which used to supply water to the Topkapi Palace. It was phenominal. The fish still living in the shallow remaining water, were huge, and the medusa heads were very impressive. There's no point showing you the pictures, my camera didn't do it justice. But the road up from Yerebatan Sarnici, which I think was Alemdar Caddesi had these beautiful buildings...Rather reminiscent of Brighton?!
We went to the Istanbul Modern, which I loved. I jotted down a few names than got me inspired:
We went so many places and saw so many things, it was amazing and impossible to document fully. So I returned with no voice (from too much Shisha, oops!), about 3.25 YTL, and a very exhausted and damp guide book, he he. Wow.
